My 1 month experience of using a split keyboard

Background I had some spare keyboard switches and keycaps lying around, so I decided to buy a barebone keyboard. Not just any keyboard, but a split one. The split keyboard that I am using is the Lily58 Pro. Something you should know I only realized after receiving the barebones keyboard, that split keyboards require some special keycaps. For example, 1u - 1.75u spacebar, 1u - 1.75u enter, 1u backspakce, 1u tab, etc. Thankfully I found an online store that offers custom keycap printing service, so I just made the keycap design myself and asked them to make the keycaps for me. ...

2025 Resolutions

Intro 2024… A lot has happened in this world, but if I were to name the single most impactful event this year, it would be that one event that happened on the 14th of June, 2024. It was my first time getting laid off, and it really gave me some really high highs and low lows. From the happiness of earning 9 months of salary and a 14 inch macbook pro, anxiety from having no income, feelings of envy for other people that found a job faster than me, dread of job interviews where my fate is decided by other people, and relief after finally finding a new job. ...

My JLPT N4 Experience

What is JLPT? JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test / 日本語能力試験) is a Japanese language exam that covers language knowledge, reading ability, and listening ability. JLPT has 5 levels of certification (N5 to N1, with N5 being the lowest level), and this blog post will detail my N4 exam experience. Septoplasty: Pre and Post-surgery

! THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING, THERE WILL BE PICTURES CONTAINING BLOOD ! Background I went to a clinic via BPJS Kesehatan (Government medical services) because my nose kept outputting clear snot. At first they gave me rhinos cold medicine, but it only made my nose dry. The clear snot kept gushing out despite my nose feeling like a desert. They refered me to a hospital so that I can consult with a Otolaryngologist (ENT doctor). At first, the doctor gave me some medicine and a sodium chloride solution to do nasal irrigations. Despite the fact that I routinely wash my nose and take vitamin C daily, my clear snot still kept flowing out of my nostrils. My ENT doctor eventually recommended septoplasty, which confused me because apparently I have a deviated septum (my nose bone is crooked to the left, cutting out airflow). I’m not sure how it will help with my clear snot problem, but I decide to do it due to a few factors: ...

2024 Resolutions

Intro I’ll be honest, my only happy memory of 2023 that stuck with me was the fact I bought a PC in August. Let’s not dwell on that and reflect on my past resolutions that can be seen in this post, or my older post. Reflection time I had 4 resolutions, let’s take a look at each one: Fix my GERD People who meet me daily would know that I still have problems with this. My main problem is my lack of discipline. If I eat too much or drink while eating, I would feel bloated. Knowing that, I still keep overeating, or drinking because my brain wants to. The constant stress from my daily life also does not help, but I don’t think I can do anything about this for the time being. I’ll try to be more strict with myself, but these are probably meaningless words that I will ignore during 1 2024. ...

2023 Resolutions

Intro 2022 has been a year full of highs and lows. Sadly, the lows happen more often than the highs. Anyway, since I forgot my past resolutions, I won’t discuss them in this post. Instead, let me share my new year resolutions: Resolutions It is better to set reasonable resolutions and achieve them, rather than setting up abstract or unreasonable resolutions and failing to achieve them. Fix my GERD For those of you who knew me, you probably know that I have acid reflux, and it is still not cured since 2018. An endoscopy on 2022 only revealed a polyp on my esophagus, and esophagitis due to me regurgitating food that I ate. The doctors advised me to avoid trigger foods and eat less portions more often. ...

Your Phone and You

Backstory My phone screen got broken when it fell down, rendering it unable to be used at all. When I took it to the service center, the cost of repair was about 20% of my phone price, and it need to be left there for about 2 working days. Luckily for me I have a secondary phone, but it was a 4 year old phone running LineageOS 18. Even then, the past 2 days waiting for my phone to be fixed was riddled with anxiety. ...

Comifuro 15 (Day 1) Review

TLDR here If you want a TLDR of this event, simply visit this facebook post. Otherwise, enjoy my drivel of me recanting the horrors of this event. Prelude My last post was on the 22nd of July. The truth is that nothing of interest warranted me to create a blog post. My life only consisted of working on weekdays and resting on weekends, until one day an event caught my ears and eyes. Comifuro is back, after a 2 year hiatus due to covid restrictions! Ghosty’s comic, Kamvret comics, and many more were there! Sounds like a perfect event for me to enjoy, right? So I asked along two of my friends to come with me. Little did I know that… ...
