2023 Resolutions

Intro 2022 has been a year full of highs and lows. Sadly, the lows happen more often than the highs. Anyway, since I forgot my past resolutions, I won’t discuss them in this post. Instead, let me share my new year resolutions: Resolutions It is better to set reasonable resolutions and achieve them, rather than setting up abstract or unreasonable resolutions and failing to achieve them. Fix my GERD For those of you who knew me, you probably know that I have acid reflux, and it is still not cured since 2018. An endoscopy on 2022 only revealed a polyp on my esophagus, and esophagitis due to me regurgitating food that I ate. The doctors advised me to avoid trigger foods and eat less portions more often. ...

Your Phone and You

Backstory My phone screen got broken when it fell down, rendering it unable to be used at all. When I took it to the service center, the cost of repair was about 20% of my phone price, and it need to be left there for about 2 working days. Luckily for me I have a secondary phone, but it was a 4 year old phone running LineageOS 18. Even then, the past 2 days waiting for my phone to be fixed was riddled with anxiety. ...

Comifuro 15 (Day 1) Review

TLDR here If you want a TLDR of this event, simply visit this facebook post. Otherwise, enjoy my drivel of me recanting the horrors of this event. Prelude My last post was on the 22nd of July. The truth is that nothing of interest warranted me to create a blog post. My life only consisted of working on weekdays and resting on weekends, until one day an event caught my ears and eyes. Comifuro is back, after a 2 year hiatus due to covid restrictions! Ghosty’s comic, Kamvret comics, and many more were there! Sounds like a perfect event for me to enjoy, right? So I asked along two of my friends to come with me. Little did I know that… ...

Infected Diary

I can’t believe I am experiencing a historical event, or even become a part of one. Sadly that historical event is a global pandemic. 6th July 2022 I felt fine, also went outside my house for a few errands before work starts. My mother was experiencing mild flu symptomps though. 7th July 2022 I had a fever, headache, sore throat, all flu symptomps. I consulted a doctor online through a telemedicine app to request a sick letter and medicine. She gave me what I wanted, and also told me to go try to do a swab test, which I can only do by Saturday (9th July 2022). At around 16:30 my fever flared up to 38.2 degrees Celcius, and my muscles are all sore. I had a hard time trying to fall asleep, and also can’t sleep for long periods. This was the peak of my symptoms. ...

My First "Game"

On the 20th of March this year, I bought a bundle from Humble Bundle, called the “Stand with Ukraine Bundle”. It included many games, including Back 4 Blood, Satisfactory, Starbound, and many more. The bundle also contained other software and courses. One of the courses was this course, about 3D game development in Unity. I had some interest in game development, so I decided to follow along the course. The result was this game that I uploaded to their site. Here is a link to the source code. If you are tech-savvy enough to read the game scripts, you would notice a few debug/cheat keys that I left in there on purpose. ...

Hosting A Starbound Server

Multiplayer So me and a couple of my friends wanted to play Starbound together. Hosting a server using your own machine or simply joining via steam is a viable option, but none of our connections were stable enough. If I hosted, sometimes packet loss would cause everyone to disconnect from the server (including myself, even though I was hosting the server). With that in mind, we decided to find a dedicated VPS to run the starbound server. We eventually setteled for ID Cloud Host because it is hosted in our country (Indonesia). ...

Cleaning my keyboard

Today was a Good Friday, so I don’t have any work today. I planned this ahead of time by buying a compressed air canister, EVA foam, and denture tablets. The purpose was to clean my keyboard and apply foam to the bottom of the PCB. The foam I bought can be used between the PCB and the plate, but cutting out individual squares for each key seems too much of a hassle for me. ...
